This case is pretty different from other celebrities since it involves one on one person scandal. For this circumstance, it's just like all photos and celebrities revealed.
I'm not surprised about Edison involvement with the hk female celebrities or publicity act at first. Not to mention Bobo and Gillian were rumored to be involved with Edison. Edison denies the rumors. But for Cecilia Cheung, I never knew. When the photos leaked onto the internet, it was shocking at first because these female are pop stars. I bought some of their albums, except Edison lol. I guess it spoils my thoughts on their innocence and pop icon images. Oh well, they are all humans after all. The entertainment industry is a bit dirty. Edison is the one who is at fault, and so as the guys that distribute the images. I sympathize the females involved, but they shouldn't of taken the photo too. And there are more photo of more stars as I read.
About his apology statement on the net, I don't quite understand. He urge to delete the photo to heal the wound. If he put it in the recycle bin instead of keeping it as a souvenir then it wouldn't be a big scandal. It was an awkward move for him to get his computer repaired with all the photo inside. I guess in a way he knows that sooner or later it'll be found. He could be in the center of the media again. After seeing the photo's, it'll be the last that I want to view again, I rather see them all singing instead. I still like them as singer and actress. Except Edison, he stoop to a new low.

Of course not, this is the first time he's been involved in a sex scandal. I'm starting to think that he purposely leaked all this crap.

Edison Chen is a victim of this case. Why did he need to apologize? He did not release the photos. It's not illegal to take them as well. However, the people like Kira who uploaded them are those who are guilty. Why is HK placing so much hatred on Edison Chen and nowhere do we see as much hatred on people like Kira. Does this prove that HK society is messed up?
Edison is as much a victim as the female stars involved. They might be accountable for their public behaviours, (because of they are celebrities) but they are definitely not accountable for their (legal) private behaviours to anyone. Is having sex with your girlfriends or dates a crime? So he happens to be popular with girls, is that a crime? So he likes to keep pictures of their sex lives, is that wrong? We have to understand that just because so many girls sleep with him doesn't make him a bad person. The girls themselves were not forced to sleep with him. Even if Edison is the playboy type who date so many girls, perhaps at the same time, is that really our business?
Besides, who is to say that the girls themselves are not also dating more than one person, or I'm sure most of them have had their fair share of boyfriends, no less than Edison.
Remember, Their privacy got invaded because someone stole these pictures and uploaded them for the world to see, and suddenly it became everybody's business. Let's not forget that we're looking at stolen pictures.
